Vibra Specialty Hospital of Portland is a 65-bed Critical Care Hospital dedicated to providing acute care services for patients recovering from serious illnesses or injuries. Our hospital specializes in treating medically complex conditions such as:

About the Role

The Chief Clinical Officer (CCO) plays a key leadership role in ensuring high-quality patient care across the hospital. Responsibilities include:

  • Directing and facilitating all nursing and clinical services.
  • Leading hospital decision-making processes and clinical program development.
  • Ensuring clinical staff competence and appropriate staffing for patient needs.
  • Developing hospital-wide systems, policies, and procedures for patient care.
  • Creating staffing plans, departmental budgets, and resource utilization strategies.
  • Monitoring and improving work environments and quality of care.
  • Collaborating with Physicians to enhance patient care systems.
  • Promoting the hospital through active internal and external involvement.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (required).
  • Masters Degree in Health Administration, Nursing, or related field (required).
  • Candidates with a written plan to complete advanced degree may be considered.

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years in a Nursing Management role supervising patient care.
  • LTAC experience preferred.

Licensure/Certifications:

  • Current RN license in the state of Oregon (required).
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications from a Vibra-approved vendor (required).
  • Valid drivers license may be required for multi-site coverage.

Additional Skills:

  • Strong leadership, decision-making, and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of compliance and regulatory standards.
  • Computer proficiency.
  • Ability to project a professional image and communicate effectively.
