The Lexington, KY VA Healthcare System (LVAHCS) seeks highly motivated physicians to join our Cardiology team to maintain patient care within our Veteran community.
- Provide consultation on various forms of cardiovascular disease states, both for diagnosis and treatment in the inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Perform and interpret non-invasive cardiac studies such as stress tests, ambulatory ECG monitoring, and cardiac imaging tests such as nuclear study, echocardiogram, Cardiac CT, and Cardiac MRI
- Lead and manage Cardiology/Coronary Care Unit (CCU) team consisting of Cardiology fellows, Internal Medicine Residents, Medical students, Pharmacists, Mid-level providers, etc. while on the inpatient service.
- Collaborate with the Service Chief to build cutting-edge, advanced care clinical operations through process improvement and quality assurance duties.
- Co-op/Academic opportunities with University of Kentucky Medical Center, including presentation of didactic lectures to Cardiology fellows and participation in academic activities such as journal reviews, Grand rounds, conferences, and lectures.
Starting salary range $375,000-400,000 commensurate with qualifications and experience. MD/DO degree required with unrestricted licensure from any state.
Board Certification required for academic appointments.

The Lexington Veterans Affairs Medical Center is a fully accredited, two-division, tertiary care medical center with an operating bed complement of 199 hospital beds. Established in 1973 and built adjacent to the University of Kentucky Medical Center, this campus offers acute medical, neurological, surgical and psychiatric inpatient services.
