Columbus Behavioral Center for Children and Adolescents is a 56-bed, private residential behavioral health facility located in Columbus, Indiana just 45 minutes south of Indianapolis. Set on 6.5 fully-fenced acres, our secure and therapeutic environment is designed to support the mental health needs of male and female youth ages 8 17.

We are currently seeking a part-time PMHNP to work with our child and adolescent psychiatry services. This is a rewarding opportunity for a compassionate, experienced psychiatrist to make a lasting impact in a supportive, multidisciplinary care environment.

Position Highlights:

  • Role: PMHNP, Child and Adolescent Residential Treatment Program
  • Location: Columbus Behavioral Center, Columbus, Indiana - 45 minutes south of Indianapolis
  • Schedule: Part-time; Employed W2, or 1099 Independent Contractor; On-site work schedule 2 days/20 hours per week + rotating telephonic call
  • Treatment Settings: Residential and Intensive Outpatient (IOP) Programs
  • Responsibilities Include:
    • Child/Adolescent psychiatric treatment service
    • Participation in clinical call rotation, telephonic
    • Collaboration with clinical medical director and administrative team

Qualifications:

  • Active Indiana APRN license or eligibility to obtain
  • Graduation from an accredited PMHNP program
  • Board Certification ANCC

At Columbus Behavioral Center, we provide evidence-based residential treatment for youth ages 8 to 17 facing serious behavioral health challenges, substance abuse disorders, and frequent psychiatric hospitalizations. Our family-focused programs deliver individualized care plans, trauma-informed therapy, and 24/7 clinical support to help youth achieve emotional stability and behavioral change.

Specialized Programming Includes:

  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Residential Program for girls ages 12 18
  • Structured clinical programming focused on reducing self-harm, suicidal ideation, and impulsive behaviors
  • Average length of stay: 3 to 9 months, tailored to individual progress

We work closely with families and community partners to ensure a successful transition back home or into an appropriate level of continued care.
