PRINCIPAL
 DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides independent advanced practice nursing care including but not limited to completions of assessment, diagnosis, development of treatment plan including outcome identification, patient/family education, and implementation and evaluation of the treatment
  • Performs patient rounding with an interdisciplinary team and participates in case
  • Performs comprehensive physical, psychological, social, spiritual, and cultural assessments through observation, interview, review of medical records and clinical data inclusive of imaging and lab results.
  • Evaluates patient's response and intervenes to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Will assess, diagnose and treat patients on both the Adult and Geriatric Psychiatric units. 
  • Will lead a multidisciplinary team and is responsible for the overall case of assigned patients. The APP's case log will vary and could be up to 15 patients.
  • Some call and weekend coverage responsibilities
  • Additionally, the PNP will conduct consults for all 5 RMR facilities. Other opportunities to see patients on an outpatient basis are available, including Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS).

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree, Nursing- Required
    • Master's degree, Nursing- Required

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:

  • Education:
    • Board certified as an Advanced Practice Nurse in a minimum of one of the following applicable professional clinical specialties: Palliative Medicine, Family Medicine, Adult/Gerontological Medicine, Internal Medicine, Hospital Medicine, or Acute Care Medicine (Preferred)
  • Experience:
    • 3-5 years' experience in Critical Care setting as RN or NP (Preferred)
    • 3-5 years' experience in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Acute Care Medicine or Hospital Medicine as an NP (Preferred)
    • 1 year in management/leadership (Preferred)
    • 1 year experience working as part of an interdisciplinary team (Preferred)

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:

  • Basic Life Support- American Heart Association (Required)
  • Registered as Advanced Practice Nurse (Required)
  • Registered on the State of Colorado Advanced Practice Registry (Required)

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION PREFERRED:

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support- American Heart Association (Preferred)
