Locum - Physician Assistant (PA) - Oncology
Join a dedicated oncology team as a Locum Physician Assistant in Williston, ND, and make a meaningful impact in cancer patient care. You will be integral in supporting comprehensive cancer treatment, including staging, chemotherapy, and immunotherapy, while working alongside a highly experienced team to deliver exceptional patient care.
Required Skills:
- Valid Physician Assistant license in North Dakota
- Proven experience in medical oncology or related field
- Proficiency in completing staging workups and understanding oncology treatments
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including NPs, PAs, radiation oncologists, and surgical teams
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (Mosaiq/Meditech preferred)
- Strong clinical judgment and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience performing bone marrow biopsies
- Previous experience in outpatient oncology settings
- Familiarity with regional health systems and coordination of care across multiple facilities
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies or equivalent
- At least 2 years of outpatient oncology experience
- Prior experience with chemotherapy and immunotherapy management
- Knowledge of current oncology protocols and best practices
Other Requirements:
- Must have active ND licensure and DEA registration
- Credentialing packets to be completed promptly for timely onboarding
- Availability to work a minimum of three clinic days per week, Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM
- Ability to work additional training or orientation hours ($100-110/hour) beyond the initial shift
- Compensation details include hourly pay (rate to be confirmed), with added pay for holidays and orientation
- No travel is required; local lodging preferences apply
- Support staff includes experienced RNs, infusion staff, and specialists to ensure smooth clinic operations
