Join Our Team as a Locum - Physician - Maternal Fetal Medicine in Lexington, KY

In this critical position, you will handle outpatient duties including reading up to 600 ultrasound reports each month, supporting a multidisciplinary team with state-of-the-art facilities and experienced staff. Your expertise will contribute directly to patient care, ensuring timely and accurate diagnostics. Required Skills:
- Fellowship-trained in Maternal Fetal Medicine
- Proficiency in prenatal diagnostic procedures, including amniocentesis, chorionic villus sampling, and first-trimester nuchal translucency assessment
- Experience with ultrasonography and fetal assessment
- Familiarity with EMR systems, specifically EPIC/Viewpoint
- Strong diagnostic skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently within a team-oriented environment
- Valid medical license in Kentucky or the ability to obtain one promptly
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience reading ultrasound reports at a high volume
- Previous outpatient and consult coverage experience
- Additional certifications in fetal echocardiography or genetic counseling
- Bilingual abilities are a plus but not required
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Medical degree (MD or DO) with completed fellowship in Maternal Fetal Medicine
- Minimum of 2 years post-fellowship experience
- Prior experience working in outpatient and inpatient settings
Other Requirements:
- Availability to work during the dayshift (Monday-Thursday, 8 am-5 pm)
- Ability to start by February 1, 2026
- Willingness to undergo credentialing and license processing within 60-90 days
- Must hold or be able to obtain ky state medical licensure and DEA registration
- Compliance with all facility credentialing requirements and malpractice insurance coverage
