Physician - Anesthesiology

Required Skills:

• Valid medical license in the state (preferably MS license)
• Proven experience in anesthesiology, including surgical and perioperative anesthesia care
• Ability to perform accurately under pressure with excellent decision-making skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with surgical teams and staff
• Proficiency in Epic and familiarity with electronic medical records systems
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and on-call shifts
• Willingness to complete Epic training prior to the first shift

Nice to Have Skills:

• Prior locum tenens or temporary staffing experience
• Experience in a high-volume surgical environment
• Knowledge of transportation and logistical coordination for travel expenses
• Additional certifications or specialized training in anesthesia

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
• Board certification or eligibility in Anesthesiology
• Minimum of 5 years of clinical anesthesia experience
• Previous experience working within hospital or surgical center settings

Other Requirements:

• Availability for 5-7 day blocks with alternating 24-hour or call shifts, including weekends
• Commitment to two-week shifts with a 1-week off period, as defined
• Ability to upload personal data sheets into Locumsmart for credentialing
• Willingness to undergo onboarding, orientation, and Epic training at designated times
• Travel reimbursements and licensure/certification reimbursements when applicable
• Meeting participation on 01/07/26 to discuss placement and additional staffing needs
