Physician - Psychiatry

Maximus Federal is seeking a Psychiatrist to join the Medical Consultant panel to be an Expert Medical Reviewer to conduct medical judgment appeals. 

Maximus Federal Services, Inc., is contracted by the California Department of Managed Health Care (DMHC) to conduct Behavioral Health Investigations (BHIs) of California Managed Health Care plans. The goal of these investigations is to identify and understand the challenges and barriers that enrollees and providers experience with accessing and providing behavioral health services. Maximus will also provide input to a report to the plans with recommendations for systemic changes to improve the delivery of behavioral health care.

Key Requirements:

• Board-certified: Psychiatry for more than 5 years.
• Experience: in Substance Abuse Disorder for more than 5 years currently.
• Work Arrangement: This is a 1099 (at-will) role for both parties.
