Duke University Medical Center Department of Surgery is seeking a nationally recognized leader to serve as Chief, Division of Surgical Oncology. This role provides the opportunity to lead and shape one of the largest and most comprehensive academic surgical oncology divisions in the country. The successful candidate will be board certified in general surgery, with fellowship training in surgical oncology strongly preferred, and will possess an established national reputation as an academic clinician-scientist and with a strong history of research funding.
The chief will provide strategic leadership across clinical care, research, education, and faculty development, with responsibility for defining and executing the long-term vision of both the division and department. The chief will have significant opportunity to shape faculty recruitment, programmatic investments, and research infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
The Division currently includes 25 faculty members with plans to recruit additional faculty members based on significant market growth projections.
