Major Duties of the Position:
- Provide high-quality endodontic services in our progressive, innovative health care system for the veteran outpatient population.
- Deliver patient-centered diagnostic and therapeutic care for patients with complex endodontic needs, addressing both acute and chronic issues.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans to address the specific needs of endodontic patients.
- Perform various endodontic procedures, including root canal therapy, retreatment, apicoectomy, and other related procedures.
- Collaborate with other dental and medical specialists to provide comprehensive care, including cases that may require multidisciplinary management.
- Utilize advanced diagnostic techniques and treatments tailored to the endodontic population.
- Teach and mentor dental students, residents, and fellows, contributing to educational development programs affiliated with the University of New Mexico, School of Dentistry.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to patient care, teaching, and research, and be eligible for a faculty appointment in the relevant department at the University of New Mexico.
- Work with a multidisciplinary team to provide holistic care for endodontic patients.
- Participate in research and quality improvement initiatives related to endodontics.
