Required Skills:

• MD or DO degree with board certification in Emergency Medicine or equivalent
• Active state medical license or ability to obtain in Michigan
• Proven experience in emergency medicine with proficiency in managing a diverse patient population
• Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills
• Familiarity with Cerner EHR system
• Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Nice to Have Skills:

• Previous experience in a trauma or fast-track emergency department
• Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
• Prior use of Doctime or similar time-tracking systems
• Experience supervising or coordinating with medical staff in an ED setting

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Medical degree from an accredited institution
• At least 2 years of ER or urgent care experience
• Prior locum or PRN work preferred but not mandatory

Other Requirements:

• Availability for 24-hour shifts, with pay at a daily rate of up to $9,600
• Willingness to participate in a float pool for open PRN shifts
• Must clock in/out using Doctime; no timesheets accepted
• Compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws regarding licensure, certifications, and reimbursements
• Orientation rate of half the hourly pay rate, with ongoing rate of $400/hour
• No third-party lodging arrangements; hotel or housing reimbursements as per policy
• Malpractice included in rates; expenses covered within specified policies
• Engagement begins on 03/01/2026, with shifts scheduled as per hospital needs
