Required Skills:
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) with Board Certification in Oncology
- Valid state medical license with no background issues
- DEA license
- Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant clinical experience in oncology or hematology
- Proficiency in Electronic Medical Records (EMR), specifically Cerner
- Expertise in bone marrow biopsies and complex oncology procedures
- Strong communication and patient management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Nice to Have Skills:
- Additional certifications such as ACLS and BLS
- Experience in inpatient hospital settings
- Familiarity with cancer-specific treatment protocols
- Participation in research or clinical trials
- Bilingual abilities to serve diverse patient populations
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
- Completed fellowship in oncology
- At least 3 years of post-fellowship experience in a hospital or cancer center environment
Other Requirements:
- Must have a clean background; pre-approval required immediately upon offer, including submission of full background details and licenses to facilitate background checks
- Willingness to obtain temporary license if necessary
- Ability to commit to 8-hour daytime shifts, Monday to Friday, with inpatient call every 3rd week
- Coverage required: Full-time, at least 3 weeks per month to be considered
- Support staff includes nurses, CMAs, and advanced practitioners
- Support procedures such as bone marrow biopsies
- Contract duration: One year starting May 1, 2026
- Hourly pay rate: $507.00
- Shift: 08:00 – 16:30, Monday through Friday
