St. Josephs Health is seeking a board certified OB/GYN Laborist to join our respected and established team in Syracuse, NY. This full time or part time opportunity is ideal for OB/GYN physicians passionate about high quality obstetric care, clinical excellence, and working within a collaborative, physician friendly environment.
Our program supports 1,600 deliveries annually and features comprehensive services including midwifery, OB/GYN, Maternal Fetal Medicine, and a Level III NICU. The Laborist will exclusively manage laboring patients, oversee routine and complex deliveries, and provide OBED/GYN emergency response coverage.
Position Details:
- Provide coverage of OB/GYN emergencies
- 7 in house 24 hour shifts per month (fulltime equivalent)
- Supported by a strong team of midwives, OB/GYN partners, and subspecialists

Qualifications:
- Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology
- Interest in practicing a mix of obstetrics & gynecology, including surgery
- Excellent clinical and communication skills
- Commitment to providing excellent, team-oriented care
Recruitment Package:
- Base Salary (Full-time): $305,000 per year
The posted salary reflects the starting range of total compensation and does not include productivity bonuses, quality incentives, extra shifts, or other cash compensation. Compensation may vary based on experience and other factors in accordance with state law. - Starting Bonus: $25,000
