Diagnostic Radiology/Nuclear Medicine - Pediatric Radiology
Join our dynamic team as a Pediatric Radiologist specializing in Diagnostic Radiology and Nuclear Medicine, where your expertise will directly impact the care of pediatric patients at a leading children's hospital. This opportunity offers a vital role in delivering high-quality imaging services, supporting clinical diagnoses, and advancing pediatric healthcare through your specialized skills and dedication.
In this position, you will provide onsite coverage at the Children's Hospital of Michigan, performing a variety of imaging assessments including X-rays, ultrasounds, CT scans, and MRIs. You will interpret urgent and routine cases, ensuring swift and accurate diagnoses to guide patient management. The role involves a flexible weekly schedule—primarily one week of coverage per month, with shifts potentially from Monday to Sunday, ideally on Monday through Friday 4 pm to 12 am onsite, with call coverage from midnight to 8 am, and weekend shifts from 12 pm to 8 pm, with call from 8 pm to 8 am. Read all relevant cases, submit required case logs, and adhere to safety and quality standards.
Required Skills:
- Fellowship training in Pediatric Radiology
- Certification or eligibility for CAQ in Pediatric Radiology
- Proven expertise in pediatric imaging modalities such as X-ray, US, CT, and MRI
- Ability to interpret complex imaging studies rapidly and accurately
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Compliance with all licensure and certification requirements
- Demonstrated proficiency in handling urgent/emergency imaging cases
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with Nuclear Medicine procedures in pediatric patients
- Previous work in a hospital setting with pediatric populations
- Familiarity with advanced imaging techniques and recent technological advancements
- Bilingual abilities or additional languages
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Completion of a Radiology residency followed by a Pediatric Radiology fellowship
- CAQ certification in Pediatric Radiology, or eligibility to obtain it
- Minimum of 2 years of post-fellowship clinical experience in pediatric imaging preferred
Other Requirements:
- Valid medical license and board certification in Radiology
- Ability to travel to the facility as required for onsite coverage
- Clean malpractice history
- Willingness to participate in scheduled on-call rotations
