• Beds: 252-bed acute care facility
• Shelby Hospital serves as a key community and referral hospital for Shelby County, offering advanced services without requiring patients to travel into downtown Birmingham
• Shelby Hospital operates multiple ICU-level care areas embedded within specialty services:
• Medical/Surgical ICU
• Cardiac ICU/Critical Care
• EPIC EMR for efficient documentation

Position Details

• Flexible block schedule model
• Full-time day shift: 6a-6p
• Competitive compensation package 
• Critical care background is required
• Procedure experience highly preferred; no intubations or chest tubes required
• Typical responsibilities: acute issues, admissions, consults, and emergency procedures (central and arterial lines); anesthesia team in-house for intubations
• Average Census: 15
• No solo clinician coverage required
