RWJBarnabas Health, New Jersey’s largest integrated healthcare system, is seeking a collaborative and distinguished physician leader to serve as Clinical Director of Gastroenterology at Community Medical Center (CMC) in Toms River, NJ.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Gastroenterologist with a proven track record in leadership to join a growing program as the Clinical Director of Gastroenterology. They will partner closely with the Executive Vice President of Physician Services, VP of GI Clinical Operations, and hospital administrative leaders to enhance patient access, drive operational excellence, and ensure superb clinical quality.

Pay Transparency:

The anticipated salary range for this position if hired to work is $300,000 to $755,000 per year. The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate’s educational background, skills, and professional experience

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership, strategy, and accountability for gastroenterology providers across the Ocean County market.
  • Deliver exceptional patient care and maintain the highest clinical standards.
  • Oversee provider productivity, quality assurance, and operational efficiency initiatives.
  • Collaborate with service line and hospital leadership to recruit and retain top gastroenterology talent.
  • Participate in the education and mentorship of fellows, providers, and staff.
  • Promote the digestive health service line both internally and externally.
  • Support quality improvement initiatives, patient satisfaction goals, and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Serve on hospital committees and contribute to strategic growth initiatives.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Board Certified in Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine.
  • Fellowship trained in Gastroenterology.
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in gastroenterology with demonstrated leadership success.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and mentoring skills.
