Job Title: Nurse Practitioner - Hematology and Oncology (Locum to Perm)
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner with specialized experience in Hematology and Oncology to join our dynamic, high-volume practice. This is a locum-to-permanent position designed for providers committed to delivering exceptional patient care and seeking long-term employment stability. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing complex oncology patients, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and providing comprehensive evaluative and follow-up care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Independently assess, diagnose, and manage patients with hematologic and oncologic conditions.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in accordance with current clinical guidelines and best practices.
- Conduct thorough patient evaluations, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and coordinate treatment strategies.
- Collaborate closely with oncologists, specialists, nursing staff, and other healthcare team members to ensure integrated patient care.
- Educate patients and their families regarding diagnosis, treatment options, and disease management.
- Document clinical encounters accurately within the electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Stay abreast of advancements in oncology treatment protocols and participate in continuing education opportunities.
Qualifications: - Valid Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Louisiana (LA) or ability to obtain licensure.
- 3-5 years of clinical experience in Hematology and Oncology.
- Proven competence in managing complex, high-acuity oncology cases.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume clinical environment.
Position Details: - Location: Lafayette, LA (Remote or on-site as per current operational guidelines)
- Employment Type: Locum to Perm (transition within approximately 60 days)
- Salary Range: $105,000 - $115,000 per year
- Compensation reflects the permanent rate; providers transitioning from locum to permanent will be compensated accordingly.
