Fairview Health Services is seeking a Internal Medicine-Pediatrics Physician to join our established primary care practice at M Health Fairview Clinics Oakdale in Oakdale, Minnesota. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative, multi-specialty clinic.

Practice details

  • Established primary care clinic with 11 provider primary care.
  • Average patient volume of approximately 16 24 patients per day
  • Opening: 1.0 FTE (34 patient contact hours) - flexible schedule.
  • Fully integrated electronic medical record (Epic)


Responsibilities

  • Provides general patient care involving subjective and objective evaluation, assessment and formulation of a plan of care. Including the quality focus for the whole patient.
  • Prescribes or administers treatment as determined by the plan of care.
  • Orders and interprets diagnostic tests to identify and assess patients clinical problems and health care needs
  • Consults with and make appropriate referral(s) to other health care providers as appropriate. Refers within the Fairview network.
  • Maintains the electronic medical record in accordance with Fairview standards and in accordance with licensure and scope.
  • Recognizes and appropriately responds to medical emergencies.
  • Serves as a patient advocate by maintaining patient confidentiality, protecting patient rights, communicating in a timely manner and resolving concerns or complaints regarding care and service.
  • Assists in the development of new policies, programs, procedures or techniques.
  • Participates in research, educational or other special projects or programs as needed.
  • Dedicates majority of time to providing quality patient care and service. Participates equitably in responsibilities of patient care in designated department.
  • May provide work direction to medical support and nursing staff in designated work unit.
  • Actively participates in multidisciplinary team approach to case management
  • Participates in call coverage rotation and other coverage needs for the site as needed
  • Participates in clinic meetings
  • Utilizes quality improvement tools to develop processes that promote continuous improvement in delivery of patient care, patient outcomes or workflows
  • Demonstrates knowledge of age related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and assure safety of patients

Required Qualifications

  • Medical Doctorate degree (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) or foreign equivalent from an accredited school of medicine.
  • Graduate of an accredited ACGME or AOA training program.
  • Board Certified/Board Prepared with the American Board of Medical Specialties or American Osteopathic Association.
  • Licensed or ability to obtain Minnesota Board of Medical Practice Licensure
  • Ability to obtain and /or maintain DEA certification for the State of Minnesota.
  • Meet threshold criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and Privileges.
Qualifications:

$292,650 - $325,167 Annual *based on full time (1.0 FTE)
