Exciting Opportunity for Experienced General Surgeon to Provide Locum Coverage in Tiffin, OH

Required Skills:

• Active Medical License in Ohio or the ability to obtain one
• Board Certification in Surgery
• Proven experience in general surgical procedures
• Proficiency in laparoscopic surgeries including cholecystectomy
• Competence in GI endoscopies such as colonoscopy and upper GI procedures
• Excellent clinical judgment and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team

Nice to Have Skills:

• Previous experience in a hospital-based setting
• Familiarity with Epic EMR system
• Trauma center experience (although not required)
• Additional certifications in Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
• Completion of a General Surgery residency program
• At least 2 years of post-residency clinical experience in general surgery

Other Requirements:

• Availability for 7-10 days of coverage per month, with specific dates including April 6, 7, 9, 17, 18, 19, 20
• Must be able to handle adult and geriatric patient populations
• Willingness to travel within the Tiffin area and stay overnight as needed
• Ability to document procedures efficiently using Epic EMR

This position offers an hourly rate of $19.50, with comprehensive benefits including weekly pay via direct deposit, medical coverage, paid sick time, licensure and certification reimbursements, and travel expenses when applicable.
