Required Skills:

• Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
• Board certification or eligibility in Neurosurgery
• Proven experience in emergency and trauma neurosurgery
• Ability to perform complex neurological procedures including brain bleed management, clot removal, tumor removal, trauma repair, shunt insertions, and revisions
• Strong knowledge of trauma protocols and neuro interventional radiology procedures
• Excellent clinical judgment, decision-making, and communication skills
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR system

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience in spine stabilization, reconstruction, vertebroplasty, kyphoplasty, and spinal fusion surgeries
• Prior experience working in Level 1 trauma centers
• Ability to handle high-acuity, emergent cases efficiently
• Flexibility to adapt to variable schedules and on-call responsibilities

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Medical license valid in Ohio
• 3+ years of post-residency neurosurgery experience
• Prior locum or temporary clinical work preferred but not mandatory

Other Requirements:

• Commitment to 24-hour call coverage, one week per month
• Ability to work during scheduled dates (e.g., March 3-10, 2026)
• Willingness to travel and accept lodging reimbursements (~$150/night)
• Certifications in neuro-related specialties and trauma care are highly desirable
