Key Responsibilities:
- Provide in-house neonatal coverage 4-6 times per month from 7 pm to 7 am
- Attend and assist with C-sections and neonatal transfers
- Manage a patient census averaging 0-4 admissions daily within a 15-bed NICU
- Document patient care using Cerner, Ecare, or PowerChart EMR systems
- Collaborate with a team of 3 full-time, 2 part-time, and 4 contingent neonatologists
- Ensure adherence to healthcare protocols and participate in emergency procedures as needed
Required Skills:
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neonatology
- Fellowship-trained in Neonatology
- Valid state medical license with credentialing in hand
- Current BLS, NRP certifications
- Experience with high-acuity NICU care, including neonatal resuscitation and transfers
- Proficient in EMR documentation and neonatal management
Nice to Have Skills:
- Prior experience in Level 3 NICU settings
- Ability to work independently during overnight shifts
- Familiarity with Cerner, Ecare, or PowerChart EMR systems
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Fellowship training in Neonatology
- At least 2 years of pediatric/neonatal clinical experience
- Comfort with handling neonatal emergencies and deliveries
Other Requirements:
- Willingness to work scheduled night shifts, 7 pm to 7 am
- Mileage reimbursement applicable
- Credentialing estimated at 90-120 days; immediate start available upon credentialing completion
- No reimbursement for background checks, application, or credentialing fees
