Join Our Team as an Internal Medicine - Hematology and Oncology Physician

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Internal Medicine - Hematology and Oncology specialist to join our dynamic healthcare team. This pivotal role involves providing exceptional outpatient care, including consultations and treatment oversight, in a supportive and patient-focused environment. Required Skills:

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Internal Medicine, Hematology, and Oncology
• Proven expertise in outpatient clinical management, including new patient consults and follow-up care
• Ability to oversee treatment plans and coordinate care effectively
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with patients and the care team
• Attention to detail and organizational skills for managing multiple caseloads
• Knowledge of current guidelines and standards in hematology and oncology

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems
• Previous outpatient oncology or hematology practice experience
• Familiarity with research or clinical trial protocols
• Bilingual abilities to support diverse patient populations

Preferred Education and Experience:

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
• Active medical license in the state
• Minimum of 2 years of outpatient hematology and oncology experience
• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development

Other Requirements:

• Availability to work on-site 3-4 days per week, approximately two weeks per month
• No inpatient responsibilities, no call duties, and no APC supervision required
• Participation in the comprehensive medical benefits program and certification updates as needed
• Willingness to travel to Wausau for inpatient referrals when necessary
