Neonatologist – Perm Position in Oklahoma City, OK
We are seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Neonatologist to join our established practice, providing full-time coverage at two Level III NICUs within a reputable hospital system. This is an excellent opportunity for motivated physicians committed to delivering high-quality neonatal care in a supportive, community-oriented environment.
Position Overview:
- Provide comprehensive coverage at two distinguished NICUs:
- Mercy Hospital Oklahoma City: 43-bed NICU with an average daily census (ADC) of 29
- Norman Regional Hospital: 26-bed NICU with an ADC of 14
- Offer expert care utilizing advanced equipment, including HFOV, jet ventilators, and access to extensive subspecialty and Maternal-Fetal Medicine support
- Work closely with a dedicated team of six neonatologists and 24/7 NNP support, ensuring collaborative patient management and optimal outcomes
- Typically work approximately 10 shifts per month, including 24-hour shifts (which are managed off-site)
- All shifts are supported by hospital back-up to maintain high standards of care
- Ideal for recent fellows, with encouragement for new graduates to apply
- Position requires residency within the immediate local region; relocation may be necessary
- Permanent, full-time employment; not available for locum or visa candidates
Qualifications: - Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neonatology
- Active medical license in the state of Oklahoma or the ability to obtain one
- Strong commitment to quality patient care and teamwork
