Exciting opportunity for a Psychiatry Physician to make a meaningful impact in a hospital setting. Join our dedicated team and provide critical mental health care to adult patients during a fulfilling 3-month maternity leave coverage starting July 1, 2026. What You Will Do:
- Support inpatient adult psychiatry services in a 25-bed hospital.
- Manage 11-16 patients daily through EMR (Cerner).
- Conduct medication checks and therapy sessions, ensuring optimal patient care.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality mental health services.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Board Certification in Psychiatry.
- Valid state medical license (or eligible for WV temporary license/IMLC).
- DEA registration (pending confirmation).
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant clinical experience.
- Strong knowledge of inpatient psychiatric care and medication management.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Additional certifications in behavioral health or related fields.
- Experience working in hospital-based psychiatry.
- Familiarity with Cerner EMR system.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
- At least one year of post-residency clinical practice in psychiatry.
Other Requirements:
- Willingness to obtain state license and DEA registration if not already held.
- Ability to work weekdays, 8 am - 5 pm.
- Flexibility for credentialing process (approximately 60 days).
