Pediatrics - Pulmonology

This critical role offers an exceptional opportunity to provide specialized respiratory care in a dynamic clinical environment, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and professional growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver inpatient and outpatient pediatric pulmonology services.
  • Conduct bronchoscopy procedures and manage complex respiratory cases.
  • Provide day (inpatient) and night on-call coverage.
  • Manage approximately four phone consultations daily.
  • Potentially handle ICU consults, though not exclusively ICU cases.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement treatment plans.

Required Skills:
  • Board Eligibility/Certification in Pediatric Pulmonology.
  • Valid Pennsylvania medical license, or eligibility for unrestricted licensure.
  • Current DEA certification.
  • Ability to work independently with strong clinical judgment.
  • Excellent communication and patient management skills.

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Experience with bronchoscopy and advanced respiratory diagnostics.
  • Prior work in inpatient and outpatient pediatric pulmonology settings.
  • Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
  • Ability to manage acute and chronic respiratory conditions efficiently.

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
  • At least 2 years of pediatric pulmonology practice preferred.
  • Active Pennsylvania medical license without restrictions.

Other Requirements:
  • Must hold or be eligible for an unrestricted Pennsylvania medical license.
  • Valid DEA license.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality care during short-term assignments, primarily one week per month.
  • Willingness to participate in weekend on-call duties.
