Required Skills:

  • Proven expertise in pediatric nephrology with a focus on managing conditions such as Bartter's Syndrome, Fabry Disease, Fanconi Syndrome, Hemolytic-Uremic Syndrome, Hepatorenal Syndrome, and renal transplant care.
  • Proficiency in EEG reading (required at Reading Hospital).
  • Hands-on experience with hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis (acute and chronic).
  • Skilled in performing percutaneous renal biopsies and needle biopsies of the kidney.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and coordinate inpatient/outpatient care.
  • Excellent communication and clinical decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to work independently with a strong commitment to patient safety and quality care.

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Additional experience in pediatric intensive care units.
  • Certification in Pediatric Nephrology or equivalent subspecialty.
  • Familiarity with advanced renal procedures and outpatient clinic management.
  • Bilingual capabilities to serve diverse patient populations.

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Board-certified or eligible in Pediatric Nephrology.
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in pediatric nephrology or related subspecialty.
  • Experience with EEG interpretation in a clinical setting.

Other Requirements:
  • Willingness to commit to a minimum of one week (preferably two weeks) of availability per month.
  • On-call availability during evenings and weekends, beginning Monday at 7 am through the following Monday at 7 am.
  • Ability to see a minimum of five outpatient cases daily during on-call weeks.
  • Compliance with state, federal, and local licensing and certification requirements.
  • Ability to cover approximately 70% inpatient and 30% outpatient caseload.
  • Valid certifications in BLS and PALS preferred.

Hourly Pay Rate: $1.00
