Job Title: Division Head - Hematology/Oncology & Associate Medical Director, Cancer Service Line

We are seeking an accomplished Division Head to lead clinical, research, and academic initiatives within our large, integrated health system. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic, operational, and clinical leadership for the Hematology/Oncology Division.
- Serve as Associate Medical Director for the Cancer Service Line, guiding systemwide cancer care strategy and initiatives.
- Lead and oversee a multidisciplinary team of more than 40 full-time academic hematology/oncology physicians.
- Manage clinical operations and growth strategies, including the oversight of services generating over $1 billion in annual gross patient revenue.
- Direct and coordinate clinical, academic, and translational research programs across the health system, fostering innovation and scholarly activity.
- Oversee the integration and expansion of oncology services across multiple hospital campuses and outpatient facilities in Southeast and Central Michigan.
- Provide leadership for specialized programs including Bone Marrow Transplant, infusion services, and broader oncology initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with departmental leadership and campus partners at the Henry Ford Health System and Michigan State University Cancer Center to advance research and clinical excellence.
- Drive growth in investigator-initiated clinical trials, precision medicine, and population health projects.
- Mentor early-career investigators, support faculty development, and promote academic productivity.
- Foster multidisciplinary collaboration across specialties and departments to optimize patient outcomes and innovation.
- Support and enhance graduate medical education, fellowship training, and professional development initiatives.
- Develop innovative models of inpatient and outpatient oncology care to improve patient experience and operational efficiency.
- Maintain a clinical practice (~25%) within the Hematology/Oncology Division to stay engaged with patient care.
- Dedicate remaining time to leadership, research, academic growth, and strategic planning.
Qualifications: - Completion of an accredited Hematology/Oncology fellowship.
- Board certification in hematology and medical oncology.
- Active medical licensure and DEA certification.
- Experience in academic or large health system leadership roles, with a proven track record overseeing faculty, clinical programs, and research initiatives.
- Demonstrated success in operational management and strategic growth within an academic or healthcare setting.
- Prior experience with EMR systems, preferably Epic.
- Open to H1B visa sponsorship; not accepting locum or locum-to-perm candidates.
- Strong leadership and mentorship skills.
VMS Certification Requirements: - ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- Board Certified in Hematology/Oncology
- DEA Certification
Work Allocation: - 40% senior leadership and strategic planning
- 25% clinical practice
- 25% systemwide Cancer Service Line responsibilities
- 10% academic and research activities
Compensation and Benefits: - Competitive annual base salary ranging from $500,000 to $550,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications
- Relocation assistance up to $30,000
