Join Our Team as a Locum Interventional Cardiologist in Paducah, KY – Make a Difference in Adult Cardiology Care

Are you an experienced Interventional Cardiologist looking for flexible, impactful locum opportunities? Bon Secours Lourdes Hospital invites skilled physicians to join our dynamic team, providing vital cardiac care to our adult patient population. In this position, you will work 3-7 days per month, primarily in an inpatient setting with EMTALA call responsibilities. You will perform critical procedures such as balloon angioplasties, coronary angioplasty, PCI, heart catheterizations, and coronary angiograms, ensuring comprehensive care for adult patients. You will also respond promptly to all hospital cardiology calls and conduct general cardiology consults as needed. The documentation will be managed via Epic Cupid EMR, with continuous collaboration alongside fellow interventional cardiologists.

Candidates should possess the ability to perform essential interventional procedures confidently, efficiently respond to hospital calls, and interpret diagnostic tests such as EKGs, ECHOs, stress tests, including nuclear stress testing. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to patient-centered care.

While the core qualifications are essential, additional skills that include experience with complex coronary interventions or advanced imaging techniques are advantageous. Candidates with prior hospital-based cardiology experience and board certification or eligibility in interventional cardiology will stand out.

Preferred candidates will have a medical degree (MD or DO), completion of an accredited Cardiology fellowship, and active state medical licensure. Prior locum or hospital-based experience in interventional cardiology is highly desirable.

Other requirements include availability to work 3-7 days per month, responding to call duties, and readiness to travel within the scope of the assignment. Reimbursements for lodging (~$150/night), travel, and other necessary expenses are provided, along with weekly pay via direct deposit.

The hourly pay rate for this position is $19.50, with a flexible on-call rate submission window (8-24 hours of complimentary coverage).
