Physician - Neurology (Locum) Opportunity in Anderson, SC

In this position, you will be responsible for inpatient neurological care, including procedures such as lumbar punctures and thrombolytic therapy. The role involves exclusively inpatient work, with no outpatient or pediatric responsibilities. You will be working in a hospital setting, providing care to hospital-based adult patients, with no trauma or outpatient components.

Required Skills:

• Medical degree (MD or DO) with valid medical licensure in South Carolina
• Board certification or eligibility in Neurology
• Proven experience in inpatient neurology care
• Proficiency in procedures such as lumbar puncture and thrombolytic therapy
• Strong clinical evaluation and decision-making skills
• Ability to work independently without other neurologists present during your shift
• Effective communication and teamwork skills

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience working with Epic EMR system
• Prior experience in hospital-based neurology
• Additional certifications in stroke management or neurocritical care

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Completion of a Neurology residency program
• Minimum 2 years of inpatient neurology experience
• Previous locum or hospital-based practice preferred

Other Requirements:

• Availability for specific date blocks within the specified coverage periods (e.g., May to October 2026)
• Ability to complete credentialing in approximately two months
• Willingness to travel for shift coverage, with expenses reimbursed according to IRS standards
• Certification in ACLS and BLS preferred
