The Duke University Department of Radiation Oncology is seeking a Radiation Oncologist for a Medical Director role to focus on Proton Therapy at Duke University Hospital in Durham, NC.

Medical Director responsibilities include, but are not limited to

  • Establish protocols for the yet-to-be-opened Proton Center.
  • Develop proton clinical protocols.
  • Oversee the training of staff Radiation Oncologists.
  • Support clinical research.
  • Engage the surrounding medical community.
  • Maintain highest standards.
  • Keep abreast of the latest treatment indications for the delivery of proton therapy for our patients.
  • Understand and monitor the changing reimbursement landscape.
  • Includes multi-disciplinary clinics, tumor boards, and research initiatives.
