The Hoag Family Cancer Institute (HFCI) is seeking a Neurological Oncologist to join our longstanding and nationally recognized Neuro-Oncology Program. The HFCI has two primary campuses in Newport Beach and Irvine, CA. This is a unique opportunity to join a clinically active and research-driven neuro-oncology program with a national reputation for excellence. The ideal candidate will work with a multidisciplinary team to develop and grow innovative strategies to ensure the delivery of excellent neuro-oncologic care and optimal treatment outcomes. This individual is a fellowship-trained and board-certified neurological oncologist who will thrive in building rewarding relationships with referring physicians while providing compassionate care, driving clinical excellence, and expanding our creative intelligence through research and development with our industry colleagues.
Hoag offers a unique multi-modality diagnostic and treatment program for patients suffering from indolent and malignant central nervous system neoplasms. The combined comprehensive resources available at the Hoag Family Cancer Institute and Pickup Family Neurosciences Institute deliver a favorable practice, integrated care setting, with access to the latest clinical trials. Each specific type of tumor is addressed with a personalized and multidisciplinary approach to care.
Experience, combined with advanced clinical trials and technology, including two dedicated operating rooms equipped with the newest tools available anywhere is what sets our brain tumor program apart. The Hoag team offers a depth of experience not easily matched. And while many hospitals offer open craniotomy stereotactic radiosurgery and conventional chemo, our clinicians specialize not only in surgical brain tumor management, but Gamma Knife, conformal focused radiation therapy, as well as advanced chemotherapy techniques, adoptive cell therapy, and other unique immunotherapeutic modalities.
Our multidisciplinary team of CNS tumor specialists is committed to providing the most effective and advanced diagnostic imaging studies (including the only PET/MRI instrument in Orange County), 3D-guided surgical techniques which can be planned with simulation through world-leading virtual reality prior to surgery, augmented reality during tumor resection, access to clinical research trials including Phase 1 and vaccine trials, and personalized management strategies for each patient.
