Required Skills:
- Valid and current licensure as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
- Proven clinical experience in neurosurgery or related surgical specialties
- Strong knowledge of neuroanatomy, neurosurgical procedures, and patient management
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to manage acute patient needs with professionalism and compassion
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with stroke care or neuro-critical care
- Proficiency in electronic medical record systems
- Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or Neuro Critical Care Certification
- Bilingual abilities to support diverse patient populations
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Nursing (for Nurse Practitioners) or Physician Assistant studies from an accredited program
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical experience, ideally within a neurosurgical or trauma setting
- Prior experience working in a trauma center or comprehensive stroke center environment
Other Requirements:
- Clean malpractice history over the past 10 years, with no open or closed claims involving payments
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including occasional weekends or on-call rotations
- Ability to travel as needed for professional development or institution requirements
- Valid state licensure and certification, with all necessary credentials up to date
