Required Skills:

• Valid and current licensure as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
• Proven clinical experience in neurosurgery or related surgical specialties
• Strong knowledge of neuroanatomy, neurosurgical procedures, and patient management
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
• Critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities
• Ability to manage acute patient needs with professionalism and compassion

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience with stroke care or neuro-critical care
• Proficiency in electronic medical record systems
• Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or Neuro Critical Care Certification
• Bilingual abilities to support diverse patient populations

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Master’s degree in Nursing (for Nurse Practitioners) or Physician Assistant studies from an accredited program
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical experience, ideally within a neurosurgical or trauma setting
• Prior experience working in a trauma center or comprehensive stroke center environment

Other Requirements:

• Clean malpractice history over the past 10 years, with no open or closed claims involving payments
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including occasional weekends or on-call rotations
• Ability to travel as needed for professional development or institution requirements
• Valid state licensure and certification, with all necessary credentials up to date
