Nurse Practitioner - Urgent Care

Join Our Dynamic Urgent Care Team as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner!

We are seeking highly skilled Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners to provide exceptional urgent care services at our Rhinelander Walk-In Clinic. This vital role offers the opportunity to deliver comprehensive urgent care, support patient recovery, and work alongside a passionate team committed to excellence in community health.

In this position, you will manage a diverse range of acute conditions, including respiratory issues, sore throats, ear infections, wounds, and sprains, primarily serving walk-in patients within a community setting. Located just 1.5 miles from the local hospital ED, the clinic allows for effective patient management and collaboration with nearby emergency services. The ideal candidate is experienced, able to work independently, and comfortable handling a variety of urgent medical concerns. This is a great opportunity for a proactive provider who enjoys working in a supportive, fast-moving environment.

Required Skills:

• Valid and active PA or APRN license in the state
• Prior experience in urgent care or emergency medicine preferred
• Excellent clinical judgment and decision-making skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Flexibility to work a minimum of 5 shifts per week, including weekends and holidays

Nice to Have Skills:

• Certification in ACLS or BLS
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
• Bilingual abilities
• Experience working in community or outpatient settings

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies or Nurse Practitioner program
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in urgent or emergency care settings
• Ability to perform minor procedures as needed

Other Requirements:

• Availability to work full-time shifts, including weekends and holidays
• Willingness to travel for licensure or certification updates if applicable
• Employment is in a W-2 status with comprehensive benefits

Compensation:

Hourly Pay Rate: $1.00 (Competitive pay packages offered based on experience)
