The ideal candidate will be Board Eligible/Board Certified in Neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) with additional fellowship training in Epilepsy or Clinical Neurophysiology
Requirements include MD/DO from an accredited institution, active and unrestrictive medical license (or eligibility for licensure by start date), and satisfactory completion of all required due diligence tasks and credentialing
Candidates will have in-depth knowledge of neurophysiology, clinical physiology, and epilepsy research, including experience in diagnosing and treating patients with epilepsy and seizure disorders, conducting and interpreting EEGs and other diagnostic tests, inclusive of EMGs
Ideal candidates should also be well-versed in leading diagnostic, selection, mapping, and perioperative management of surgical candidates for various epilepsy treatment techniques, performed in coordination with the neurosurgeons and clinical colleagues at the Miami Neuroscience Institute, also part of Baptist Health Brain & Spine Care
The Marcus Neuroscience Institute, located at Boca Raton Regional Hospital in a 57,000-square-foot facility, includes a 20-bed neuroscience intensive care unit and four dedicated operating rooms, including intraoperative MRI and CT technology, as well as a biplane angiography suite
