Are you a dedicated Physician Assistant seeking a dynamic role in a leading cardiovascular surgical department? We are currently looking for proactive and experienced providers to support our team through open shifts starting in May 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge cardiovascular care in a renowned healthcare environment, offering flexible scheduling and professional growth.

In this vital role, you will round on inpatients post-operatively, assist in surgical procedures, and see patients in outpatient clinics. Your expertise will directly impact patient outcomes and support a high-functioning surgical team. The position involves working flexible floor shifts, on-call rotations (every other weekend and two weekdays a week), with a schedule that may vary based on scheduled cases.

Required Skills:

• Proficiency in endoscopic and radial artery harvesting
• Ability to interpret EKGs, X-rays, labs, ECMO devices, IABP, and Impella support
• Strong clinical judgment and procedural skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Nice to Have Skills:

• Prior experience in cardiovascular or cardiothoracic surgery
• Familiarity with advanced cardiac support devices
• Bilingual in English and Spanish or other relevant languages

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Active Physician Assistant license in California
• CA DEA license
• Minimum of 2 years in cardiovascular or surgical settings preferred

Other Requirements:

• Must possess and maintain current licensure and certifications
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with flexibility in hours
• Guaranteed minimum of 8 hours per day, with overtime after 8 hours
• Availability for on-call duties, including weekends and overnight shifts
• Potential for faster start upon credentialing depending on candidate credentials
