Cleveland Clinic is seeking an exceptional physician leader to serve as Section Head of Inpatient Neurology and Neurohospitalist Medicine across the Ohio market. This is a unique opportunity to lead and shape a high-performing, expanding inpatient neurology program across one of the nation’s premier academic health systems. The leader will provide strategic, clinical, and operational oversight for inpatient neurology services across Cleveland Clinic hospitals in Ohio, with both clinical and administrative responsibility for advancing a coordinated, high-quality, patient-centered model of care.

This individual will oversee clinical care delivery, staffing, recruitment, faculty and Advance practice provider development, resident and fellow education, management of the Neurohospitalist Fellowship, and leadership of the inpatient teleneurology network. Working collaboratively with leaders across the Neurological Institute’s subspecialty centers with a focus on quality, safety, and patient experience, the leader will play a central role in developing regional inpatient neurology pods across the east, west, and south submarkets. In addition, inpatient neurology staffing of the Cleveland Clinics new state-of-the-art Neurological building at main-campus is scheduled to open in quarter 1 of 2027.

This position includes close partnership with hospital leadership to ensure alignment with local and system priorities. The leader will also work closely with educational leadership to ensure outstanding and consistent learning experiences for residents, fellows, and medical students across all clinical sites, including Fairview Hospital and Hillcrest Hospital.

The ideal candidate will bring a record of leadership in inpatient neurology or neurohospitalist medicine, along with a highly collaborative style, strong organizational and operational capabilities, and a passion for building teams and programs. This individual will be a visionary leader who can help expand and strengthen Cleveland Clinic’s inpatient neurology services, creating a sustainable, unparalleled, world-class model of care with future reach beyond the Ohio market and across the enterprise.
