Physician – Hematology and Oncology
Location: Anderson, South Carolina
AnMed Health is actively seeking a fellowship-trained Hematologist/Oncologist to join our esteemed Cancer Center in Anderson, SC. Position Overview:
This full-time, permanent position involves outpatient clinic duties with minimal hospital rounding. The practitioner will predominantly work independently initially, until a secondary provider joins, managing a busy patient volume and maintaining excellence in oncology care. The role includes on-call responsibilities for inpatient oncology and practice call coverage, with no weekend shifts required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide outpatient hematology and oncology care, managing approximately 15-25 patient visits daily.
- Conduct clinical assessments, develop treatment plans, and participate in multidisciplinary tumor board meetings.
- Manage inpatient oncology consultations and hospitalizations in collaboration with the medical team.
- Participate in the administration of chemotherapy, supportive care, and palliative treatments.
- Engage in clinical trial activities offered through nationwide programs such as UC-NCORP.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and maintain accurate documentation within the Epic EMR system.
- Contribute to the rebuilding and growth of the cancer program, emphasizing patient-centered care and quality improvement.
Qualifications: - Board-certified or board-eligible in Hematology and Oncology; BC strongly preferred due to patient complexity.
- Prior experience in oncology preferred but not mandatory; fellowship completion required.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision initially.
- Strong communication skills and team-oriented approach.
- Residency within the immediate local area is required; relocation assistance offered.

Work Schedule and Compensation: - Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (flexibility may be available).
- Minimum 32 patient contact hours per week.
- Competitive salary range from $500,000 to $750,000 annually, commensurate with experience and training.
