This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a high-volume, state-of-the-art emergency department, providing essential services to diverse and urgent patient needs. You will be instrumental in delivering quality care during your assigned shifts, ensuring positive health outcomes and operational excellence in a dynamic environment.

Required Skills:

• Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
• Board certification or eligibility in Emergency Medicine
• Valid NC medical license or eligibility to obtain one
• NC Medicaid credentialed and enrolled in PECOS
• Experience managing acute emergency cases
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced setting
• Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Nice to Have Skills:

• Prior experience in a high-volume ED setting
• Proficiency with Meditech 6.1 or similar EMR systems
• Bilingual capability to serve diverse patient populations
• Certification in Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
• Experience working with multidisciplinary teams

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
• Minimum of 2 years of emergency medicine clinical practice
• Previous experience in hospital-based emergency departments

Other Requirements:

• Availability for multiple shifts starting July 4, 2026
• Sole coverage during 12-hour shifts, with open ICU management
• Capable of seeing approximately 18-20 patients per shift
• Housing provided in hospital-owned apartments
• Travel reimbursement capped at $500 when applicable
