Highlights of the Position
  • Core Faculty Position in an ACGME accredited FM program with osteopathic recognition.
  • 0.4 FTE clinical, 0.4 FTE precepting, .0.2 administrative time.
  • Fully integrated EPIC EMR.
  • Regular Resident Education, including formal classroom didactics, and hands-on training.

Candidate Requirements 

  • DO/ MD degree required.
  • Board Certification in Family Medicine.
  • Commitment to Resident Education with a passion for teaching and mentoring future family medicine physicians.
  • Attend all assigned faculty, resident and curriculum committee meetings, mandatory annual educational programs and all required departmental meetings mandated by the Program Director.
  • Assist the Program Director in the overall organization, implementation and supervision of the educational program and curriculum areas as assigned by the Program Director.
  • Participate in the recruitment, selection, instruction, supervision, counseling, evaluation, and advancement of residents within the Family Medicine Program.
  • Function as an advisor and meet with advisee residents at least quarterly.
  • Document according to Medicare guidelines for teaching residents.
  • Participate and provide input in the bi-yearly evaluation of the residents.
  • Comply with work hour restrictions in accordance with ACGME and NYS guidelines.
  • Complete evaluations for residents and submit them to the office of Graduate Medical Education in a timely manner.
