Required Skills

• Active and unrestricted medical license in the state of practice
• Board certification or eligibility in Emergency Medicine
• Proven experience in emergency medicine or urgent care settings
• Proficiency in Meditech 6.1 EMR system
• Credentialed with NC Medicaid and enrolled in PECOS (please ensure your credentials are current)
• Excellent clinical judgment, communication skills, and ability to work efficiently under pressure

Nice to Have Skills

• Experience working in open ICU environments
• Prior experience with hospital-owned temporary housing arrangements
• Familiarity with emergency department workflows and documentation procedures
• Additional certifications such as ACLS, ATLS, PALS

Preferred Education and Experience

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution
• Minimum of 2 years of emergency medicine experience in a hospital setting
• Prior experience in rural or community hospitals is a plus

Other Requirements

• Open start date: April 24, 2026
• Commitment to working 12-hour shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM in a solo coverage role
• Must be able to see approximately 18-20 patients in a 12-hour shift, with an average of 90-100 patients daily
• Provider will be housed in hospital-owned apartments; travel costs capped at $500 when applicable

Hourly pay rate: $1.00
