We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Surgery Cardiothoracic Nurse Practitioner to provide exceptional care in a dynamic hospital setting. Required Skills:

  • Recent experience in cardiothoracic surgery, including EVH techniques
  • Proficiency with Cerner EMR system
  • Certification or eligibility as a Physician Assistant (PA) with Arizona license or as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (NP) with current Arizona APRN license
  • Valid DEA registration and state licensure
  • Minimum of 3 years of cardiothoracic surgical experience
  • Current ACLS and BLS certifications through the American Heart Association
  • Strong patient assessment, procedural, and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with surgical teams and support staff

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Experience with temporary pacemaker removal, chest tube removal, IABP removal, and A-line placement
  • Prior work in CVICU or step-down units
  • Knowledge of Cerner or similar electronic medical records
  • Advanced certifications in cardiothoracic care or trauma

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Graduation from an NCCPA-approved Physician Assistant program or a graduate-level Nursing program (NP)
  • Certification through ANCC or AANP
  • At least 3 years of relevant clinical experience in cardiothoracic surgery

Other Requirements:
  • Arizona licensure or eligibility for licensing
  • Ability to adapt to 24-hour call shifts, including overnight and weekend coverage
  • Compliance with hospital credentialing processes within 30 days
  • Willingness to work 8-hour day shifts Monday through Friday, with call responsibilities as scheduled

Compensation:

Hourly Pay Rate: $159.13
