Required Skills:

• Active medical license in the state of North Carolina
• NC Medicaid credentialed and enrolled in PECOS (must do not submit candidates not enrolled)
• Board certification or eligibility in Emergency Medicine or a related specialty
• Proficient in using Meditech 6.1 EMR system
• Ability to work independently during assigned shifts and manage high patient volumes effectively (approx. 90-100 daily patients)
• Strong clinical judgment and excellent communication skills
• Commitment to patient safety and quality care

Nice to Have Skills:

• Prior experience in an open ICU setting
• Familiarity with hospital-owned housing arrangements or experience in rural/remote settings
• Additional certifications such as ATLS, PALS, or ACLS

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution
• Minimum of 2 years’ emergency medicine experience in a hospital setting

Other Requirements:

• Must be able to work 12-hour shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM starting April 24, 2026
• Open ICU requiring split coverage with two mid-level providers
• Willingness to travel, with travel expenses capped at $500, if applicable
