Required Skills:
- Valid medical license in Kentucky
- Board certification or eligibility in Orthopedic Surgery
- Experience with general orthopedic procedures, including fractures and injuries
- Ability to provide high-quality patient care in hospital and clinic settings
- Proficiency with EPIC EMR system
- Strong clinical skills and excellent communication abilities
- Ability to work independently and within a team
Nice to Have Skills:
- Prior locum experience
- Familiarity with hospital-based surgical procedures
- Additional certifications in advanced orthopedic techniques
- Previous experience working with multidisciplinary teams
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
- Minimum 2 years of clinical practice experience
- Experience with emergency orthopedic procedures preferred
Other Requirements:
- Successful completion of credentialing within 30 days at each facility
- Current DEA registration and medical license
- Must meet all credentialing requirements, including proof of degrees, photo ID, and relevant certifications
- Willingness to work scheduled hospital call, surgery, and clinic duties
- Ability to adhere to facility protocols and adhere to safety standards
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, with on-call responsibilities
This position offers a competitive hourly pay rate of $18.72, complemented by additional compensation for orientation, holidays, on-call shifts, and callback hours, aligned with detailed billing and rate caps.
