We are seeking a highly skilled Surgery Trauma Physician Assistant to provide exceptional support within a bustling Level 1 trauma hospital. This pivotal role offers the opportunity to work alongside expert trauma surgeons, delivering lifesaving care to adult patients in a fast-paced environment committed to excellence and patient outcomes.
What You’ll Bring:
- Proven experience in acute care settings, with at least 2 years of relevant practice
- Current Arizona Physician Assistant License and Board Certification in relevant specialties
- Active DEA license
- ATLS certification required
- Strong clinical skills in trauma, surgical ICU, and emergency care
- Proficiency with Cerner EMR system
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and critical thinking abilities
Additional Skills That Are a Plus:
- Experience in trauma or critical care at a Level 1 trauma center
- Leadership or teaching experience
- Bilingual skills for enhanced patient communication
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Graduation from an accredited PA program
- Minimum of 2 years practicing in a hospital trauma or emergency setting
Other Requirements:
- Night shifts (5:00 PM – 7:00 AM), working five 8-hour shifts weekly
- Ability to start on 06/08/2026, with credentialing anticipated within 30 days
- Willingness to work in a high-acuity trauma environment
- Travel or licensure reimbursement when applicable
Compensation:
Hourly Pay Rate: $163.02
