Required Skills:
- Active North Carolina medical license
- Board-certified or eligible (within 3 years of residency completion) in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Med/Peds
- Proven experience managing pediatric, adult, and newborn cases
- Strong proficiency in vent management, intubations, and EKG interpretation
- Ability to respond promptly to hospital codes
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work effectively in open ICU settings using Meditech EMR
- Flexibility to work scheduled shifts including June 1-4, 8P-8A
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with central line and arterial line placement
- Skills in elective cardioversion, lumbar puncture, paracentesis, thoracentesis
- Competency in suturing minor lacerations and performing I&D procedures
- Knowledge of consultative care with cardiologists, nephrologists, and oncologists
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Medical degree from an accredited institution
- Residency training in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Pediatrics with recent clinical practice
- Prior hospitalist or inpatient care experience in a similar setting
Other Requirements:
- Willingness to respond to hospital codes and participate in call rotations
- Providers housed in hospital-owned apartments with access to 24/7 support
- Must adhere to all licensure, certification, and travel reimbursement policies
- Open ICU environment with dedicated team support, including coverage during night rounds and admissions
