Required Skills

  • Valid medical license in the state of practice
  • Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine, with subspecialty certification in Hematology and Oncology preferred
  • Proven clinical experience in managing hematology and oncology patients
  • Excellent diagnostic and treatment planning skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build trusting patient relationships
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment
  • Knowledge of current treatment protocols and emerging therapies in hematology and oncology

Nice to Have Skills
  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
  • Participation in clinical research or ongoing medical education
  • Multilingual abilities to serve diverse patient populations
  • Ability to handle a moderate patient volume efficiently

Preferred Education and Experience
  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school
  • At least 3 years of post-residency experience in hematology and oncology clinical practice
  • Prior work in an outpatient oncology setting is highly desirable

Other Requirements
  • Ability to work scheduled shifts including 4 shifts per week, 8-10 hours per day, with overtime compensation after 40 hours
  • Flexibility to adapt to patient volume fluctuations, managing 12-15 patients daily
  • Responsible for patient calls, which are minimal (2-5 calls per week) and primarily phone-based for established patients
  • Commitment to long-term employment, with a preference for candidates willing to consider a driving distance
  • Housing options available, including apartments for incoming providers
  • Willingness to participate in occasional travel, licensure, certification renewals, and reimbursements as applicable
