Join Our Team as a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Physician in Anchorage, AK

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) physician to provide essential inpatient coverage at Providence St. Elias Specialty Hospital, Alaska’s only CARF-accredited inpatient rehabilitation facility. Required Skills:
- Board Certification in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (BC or BC-eligible)
- Valid, active medical license in Alaska or eligible via IMLC/AK TEMP
- Current DEA registration
- Strong clinical skills in inpatient rehab management
- Ability to coordinate care for a patient panel of up to 23 rehab patients
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience working in a hospital setting with interdisciplinary teams
- Familiarity with CMS regulations and rehab patient visit requirements
- Additional certifications in pain management or spasticity management
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
- Prior inpatient rehab experience preferred but not mandatory; recent graduates are encouraged to apply
- Board-certified or board-eligible in PM&R
Other Requirements:
- Availability to commit to a full-time schedule from August 15, 2026, through March 31, 2027
- Willingness to support flexible scheduling and potential time off during certain weeks
- Ability to work Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with unpaid lunch breaks
