Join Our Team as a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Physician in Anchorage, AK

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) physician to provide essential inpatient coverage at Providence St. Elias Specialty Hospital, Alaska’s only CARF-accredited inpatient rehabilitation facility. Required Skills:

  • Board Certification in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (BC or BC-eligible)
  • Valid, active medical license in Alaska or eligible via IMLC/AK TEMP
  • Current DEA registration
  • Strong clinical skills in inpatient rehab management
  • Ability to coordinate care for a patient panel of up to 23 rehab patients
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Experience working in a hospital setting with interdisciplinary teams
  • Familiarity with CMS regulations and rehab patient visit requirements
  • Additional certifications in pain management or spasticity management

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
  • Prior inpatient rehab experience preferred but not mandatory; recent graduates are encouraged to apply
  • Board-certified or board-eligible in PM&R

Other Requirements:
  • Availability to commit to a full-time schedule from August 15, 2026, through March 31, 2027
  • Willingness to support flexible scheduling and potential time off during certain weeks
  • Ability to work Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with unpaid lunch breaks
