We are seeking a highly motivated professional to join our team for a locum position at Covenant Hobbs Hospital. What You’ll Do:

Provide expert orthopaedic surgical services during scheduled coverage periods, including a two-week assignment in December with the potential for ongoing monthly coverage. Enjoy the flexibility of 24-hour beeper call shifts (on-call only, no need to be onsite), with shifts typically from 7 am to 7 am—flexible based on hospital needs. Engage in light patient volume at this site while delivering exceptional care.

Required Skills:

• Active New Mexico medical license and DEA registration
• Board Certified or Board Eligible within 3-5 years of residency
• Proven proficiency in orthopaedic surgical procedures as outlined in the practice description
• Ability to perform under a 24-hour call schedule
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience working in a hospital setting with similar patient volume
• Familiarity with telehealth or remote on-call responsibilities
• Additional certifications in specialized orthopaedic techniques

Preferred Education and Experience:

• MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
• Completion of orthopaedic surgery residency
• Minimum of 3 years of post-residency clinical experience

Other Requirements:

• Successful completion of hospital privileging process and payor credentialing (expected to take approximately 90 days)
• Submission of recent case logs within the past 24 months
• Ability to produce timely documentation to facilitate credentialing
• Willingness to undergo background checks and compliance screenings
