What You Will Do:
- Deliver exceptional psychiatric care to adult patients in a hospital setting
- Conduct medication checks and therapy sessions, ensuring comprehensive treatment
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes
- Manage a manageable patient load of 11-16 patients per day
- Operate within an EMR system (Cerner) for efficient documentation
Required Skills:
- Board Certification in Psychiatry
- State medical license (WV license preferred or eligible for WV temporary license)
- DEA registration (to be confirmed)
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience
- Strong assessment and medication management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with therapy integration
- Familiarity with hospital-based psychiatric care
- Additional certifications in mental health or related fields
Preferred Education and Experience:
- MD or DO degree with board certification in Psychiatry
- At least 1 year of post-residency clinical experience in a hospital setting
Other Requirements:
- Willing to obtain necessary licensure and DEA registration
- Credentialing timeframe of approximately 60 days
- Flexibility to work during a 3-month contract period
- Travel and licensure reimbursements as applicable
