Dayton Children's Hospital is seeking experienced, compassionate locum physicians to provide top-tier emergency care at both our Main and South Campus locations. What You'll Need:
- Valid medical license and DEA certification in Ohio
- Board Certified or Eligible in Emergency Medicine with pediatric focus
- Proven experience in pediatric emergency medicine, ideally in a high-volume, Level I trauma setting
- Strong skills in supervision of APPs and residents
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Proficiency with EPIC EMR system
- Ability to respond promptly within 60 minutes to emergency calls
- Willingness to supervise paramedics and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
Nice to Have:
- Prior experience in academic or teaching hospital environments
- Additional certifications such as Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS)
- Experience with complex trauma cases and extensive pediatric diagnostics
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Medical degree from an accredited institution
- Minimum of 2+ years of emergency medicine experience, with pediatrics preferred
- Credentialed or able to secure credentialing within 120 days
Other Requirements:
- Availability to cover shifts starting on 05/23/2026
- Travel reimbursements including flight, lodging, and car rental (local providers preferred)
- Ability to provide necessary documentation promptly, including license, certifications, CAQH login, and personal information
